Designing, Remodeling or Building with Nathrop Construction, Inc.Working with Nathrop Construction, Inc., you can expect a quality product with professionalism you wouldn't expect from just any construction company. Here is how we do it…. First, Nathrop Construction, Inc. will "walk" you through a progression of steps in developing your project before it's ready to start construction. Then, we put our Project Managers and Master Carpenters to work producing your dream. Throughout the entire process, Nathrop Construction, Inc. is always focusing on attention to your needs, concentrating on quality and professionalism. First Meeting: Getting a good client/contractor matchThis is the first and most important step in construction. A degree of trust must be established between the Contractor and you, the client. A clean, professionally dressed Estimator will meet you at your project site to evaluate the project. To assist you in achieving a trustworthy relationship between yourself and Nathrop, the Estimator will provide you with information about Nathrop Construction, Inc. so you may accurately evaluate our company. You will find it invaluable to establish a relationship with the Contractor. Once you have thoroughly evaluated your Contractor, you will become more confident with the trust you have in the Contractor's abilities and honesty. During your initial meeting with Nathrop Construction, Inc., the Estimator will take digital pictures of your project, evaluate the project site, and answer any questions you might have. It helps if you have photos or pictures of what you want your project to look like when it is finished. Budget RangeAfter the first meeting, the Estimator will contact you to discuss the timing of your Budget Estimate and discuss any further details about your project. The budget range is a preliminary estimated range of what the Estimator thinks your project will cost. The budget range the Estimator will give to you will provide you with a better idea of your project costs. Once you have discussed the budget range with the Estimator, the project's budget is determined and a rough project scope is preliminarily determined. The design process then begins unless the project has already been designed and permitted (see Construction Phase, below). Design, Construction Documents, and Permitting PhaseNathrop's Team has Architectural Design, Interior Design, Structural Design, Engineering, and permitting capabilities. The first step is to "Design your Dream" and put your vision of that dream down on paper. As your project is being designed, the Project Developer and Estimator team up with the Designers to track and monitor your project so it stays within your budget…..your dream is designed the way you want it to be designed. The next step is to produce construction documents for the permitting process. During this phase of your project, your plans are transferred to documents which can then be engineered and submitted to the City to obtain a permit. The final step of the Design, Construction Document, Permitting Phase is to submit the construction documents to the City. During this permitting stage, Nathrop Construction, Inc. submits the Construction Documents to the City and keeps in close contact with the City, monitoring the progress and needs of the permitting process, until the permit is received from the City. Construction PhaseOnce the permit is in hand, the final phase starts……your dream becomes a reality! Our Project Managers and Master Carpenters work with the Project Developer, Designers and you….all the way through the construction process to achieve the vision you have for your project. Our dynamic, seasoned crews and managers work hard to see that your dream has been realized. You will be surprised and pleased with our professionalism and attention to details.
