Nathrop Construction, Inc. is a family owned company. The primary leadership in Nathrop Construction, Inc. comes from father and son, Stan and Erik Nachtrieb. We are a full service construction company dedicated to you the client.

Nathrop can do just about any project you have but we specialize in custom homes, remodels, and light commercial. Nathrop has completed multimillion dollar homes, additions, second stories, house moving, kitchens, baths, roofs, foundations and much more. We very much enjoy the challenge of taking on projects that are too complex, specialized, or detailed for other less experienced contractors.

Nathrop Construction, Inc. has over 100 years combined experience between its top management. We have experience with all types of projects. From a 7000 square foot, four-story total rebuild, complete with an elevator and Jacuzzi, to a small breakfast nook addition. We've even moved entire homes. Nathrop Construction, Inc. has also completed all of the trim work and wood detail in 438 rooms, of the Four Season's Olympic Hotel downtown Seattle and the renovation of the hotel's Georgian Dinning Room.

What does "Nathrop" mean?

The name Nathrop Construction, Inc. was chosen to honor our grandfather's vision and talent and is an anglicized version of "Nachtrieb," our family name. Charles Henry Nachtrieb founded the town Nathrop, Colorado in 1866. He was born in Germany in 1833 and arrived in Colorado in 1859. By 1866 he built the first toll road over Poncha Pass and, established Nathrop, Colorado, with construction of a flourmill, hotel, schoolhouse and train depot. In order to do so, he freighted materials and machinery across the plains fighting Indians much of the time. Later a historian author described Nachtrieb as "a tough and determined man with a genius for business." Nathrop, Colorado still stands today.
